Myocardial Inflammation: Treatment Methods
There are contraindications. Consult your doctor.
Saline dressing: (for myocarditis, endocarditis, and pericarditis) is applied as follows: the ends of a three-layered waffle towel strip are soaked (and wrung out) in a heated 9% saline solution at 70°. One wet end is placed on the chest, and the other is thrown over the left shoulder, forming a covering over the heart from the front and back (between the shoulder blades). These ends are bandaged with a wide gauze bandage around the chest. The procedure is done overnight and continues for two weeks, changing the dressing every day.
It is important to note that the saline dressing is not a treatment for angina, ischemic heart disease, or valvular heart defects.
