Effective methods of assistance in cases of poisoning: important tips
There are contraindications. Consult your doctor.
What to do in case of poisoning:
In the event of acute food poisoning, it is crucial to call an ambulance quickly. While waiting for medical assistance, you can try to induce vomiting by drinking warm water and using two fingers. After that, it is recommended to perform an enema with a volume of 2 liters. After these actions, take two tablets of levomycetin and increase your intake of ascorbic acid to improve your condition.
Salt bandage: how to use:
A salt bandage made from a 9-10% salt solution is prepared from a waffle towel folded in several layers and is applied to the abdomen. When poisoned, for example, by low-quality food, it is sufficient to apply 3-4 bandages for 9-10 hours; for children, 1-2 bandages for the same period to ensure cleansing of the intestines from toxins.
Oatmeal and oatmeal jelly for recovery:
Oatmeal is recommended during exacerbations of peptic ulcer disease, gastritis, pancreatitis, colitis, and poisonings. Oatmeal jelly effectively normalizes intestinal function in both constipation and diarrhea. To prepare it, pour cold boiled water over the oatmeal in a 1:1 ratio, add a little yeast or a piece of rye bread, and leave it to ferment for 12 hours. Then carefully drain the liquid, bring it to a boil — and your jelly is ready for consumption.
First aid for mushroom poisoning:
If you suspect mushroom poisoning, do not give the victim hot drinks, lemon or citrus juices. Alcohol is also extremely dangerous in this situation. Offer the victim 3-4 glasses of cold boiled salted water (1 teaspoon of salt per glass). They should drink slowly, in small sips. An alternative may be cold strong tea or milk.
After that, it is recommended to induce vomiting, do a warm enema (body temperature), lay the victim on their stomach, apply a hot water bottle to their legs, and a cold compress to their head.
It is also advisable to give activated charcoal (based on 1 tablet per 10 kg of weight).
If you do not have tablets, a regular piece of charcoal can also work. Activated charcoal helps prevent harmful toxins from entering the body.
